Triton Water Group, an established innovator of low-maintenance energy-efficient desalination plants, has been invited to join the prestigious Asociación Española De Desalación y Reutilización (AEDyR), or Spanish Association for Water Desalination and Reuse.
The AEDyR represents companies, universities and public authorities with interest in the desalination and reuse of water, conducts member conferences and cooperates with government and public agencies to set regulations and define standards for hydrological plants and quality.
Membership in the AEDyR will allow Triton to expand its innovative energy recovery research and development projects and to participate in multi-company initiatives under various EU research programme frameworks.
“Triton is excited to be invited to join the AEDyR. This membership will allow us to participate in AEDyR activities such as exhibits and conferences, as well as cooperate with public agencies to set regulations for the desalination industry. Triton is proud of its track record of innovation and is looking forward to the increased visibility and influence this membership will bring forth.”
- Pedro García, President and CEO Triton Water Group
Triton will use this new membership in the AEDyR to help make known new desalination process improvements developed by Triton. Among these breakthrough advancements are the introduction of more efficient boron removal membranes, which ensure the water produced meets the highest quality and safety levels, as well as the addition of an ultraviolet (UV) disinfection stage that destroys all existing microorganisms. This UV stage has the added benefit of preventing the buildup of these microorganisms in subsequent stages (on filters, membranes and pipe surfaces) thus reducing maintenance requirements and operating costs.
The next AEDyR annual conference is scheduled for 12-15 November, 2012 in Madrid, Spain.
